KANSAS CITY, Mo., Oct. 8, 2025 /PRNewswire/ -- Tutera Senior Living & Health Care, a nationally recognized leader in senior living and health care, today announced it will add 26 senior living communities to its growing portfolio through a strategic transaction with AlerisLife and an ongoing partnership with Diversified Healthcare Trust (DHC). The expansion, which includes eight owned acquisitions and 18 new management agreements, strengthens Tutera's Midwest presence and reflects Tutera's deliberate, resident-centered approach to growth.

With this addition, Tutera will operate 108 communities across 11 states, with 66 dedicated senior living communities totaling 5,422 units. The overall Tutera portfolio now encompasses 9,755 units, with a mix of 56% senior living and 44% skilled nursing. Tutera's senior living communities currently maintain an attractive occupancy rate averaging 95%, supported by steady margins that reflect disciplined operations and resident demand. This strong performance provides DHC and its investors with confidence that these transitions will be both operationally sustainable and accretive. The expansion also broadens Tutera's Midwest footprint into Tennessee, adding to its presence in Alabama, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, and South Carolina.
