RESTON, Va., Sept. 22, 2026 /PRNewswire/ -- Rafael Systems Global Sustainment, LLC (RSGS) one of RAFAEL U.S based subsidiaries announced that it has been awarded an agreement through the Aviation & Missile Technology Consortium (AMTC) for the U.S qualification of the SPIKE SR, Shoulder Launched EO Guided Missile System to support U.S military requirements.

Under the agreement, RSGS and Rafael Advanced Defense Systems will support the U.S. qualification of the SPIKE SR and further development of advanced capabilities, enhancing a lightweight, man-portable precision missile capability for U.S. military applications. The effort will include adaptation, integration, and testing of tailored capabilities for the U.S Warfighter to expand the SPIKE SR capabilities in alignment with U.S. requirements.

SPIKE-SR is part of the world renown SPIKE Family of missiles currently in use with 46 other countries including 22 NATO member countries.

SPIKE SR is a shoulder-fired, fire-and-forget precision missile system designed to provide dismounted forces with organic lethality, rapid target engagement, and enhanced operational flexibility. The system's compact form factors, ease of employment, and precision effects make it well suited for small-unit formations operating in complex and contested environments.
