PETAH TIKVA, Israel, Jan. 20, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Gilat Satellite Networks Ltd. (NASDAQ: GILT, TASE: GILT), a worldwide leader in satellite networking technology, solutions, and services, today announced that its Commercial Division received a contract for approximately $11 million for its SkyEdge platform from a leading satellite operator in the Asia Pacific region. The platform will be deployed to deliver services over Very High Throughput Satellites (VHTS) supporting multiple applications. Deliveries are expected over the next 12 months.

The SkyEdge platform was selected for its proven performance in high-capacity networks, flexibility to support diverse service profiles, and ability to scale with evolving market demands. The deployment will enable the operator to efficiently deliver advanced mobility services while maximizing the value of its VHTS satellite assets.

“We are proud to support this customer’s VHTS strategy with a SkyEdge platform that is purpose-built for high capacity, multi-application satellite networks,” said Ron Levin, President, Gilat Commercial Division. “This deal reflects the strong confidence operators continue to place in Gilat’s technology and our ability to deliver reliable, future-ready solutions for complex satellite environments.”

The order underscores Gilat’s leadership to support the growing global demand for robust ground systems capable of supporting next-generation VHTS satellites and a wide range of commercial applications.
