Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium has integrated eight Beetronics 32TS7M touchscreen monitors throughout its Mysteries of the Cosmos: Life in the Universe exhibition, creating immersive experiences that allow visitors to explore topics ranging from habitable exoplanets to the search for intelligent life beyond Earth.

Located at the University of Arizona, Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium has long been recognized for combining scientific research with hands-on educational experiences. For its latest exhibition, the center selected Beetronics touchscreens to support multiple interactive stations while delivering reliable performance in a high-traffic public environment.

The Beetronics 32TS7M serves as the primary interface across several exhibits, allowing visitors to engage directly with astronomy research through intuitive, self-guided exploration. Five of the touchscreen monitors function as Dynamic Interpretive Signage, combining traditional exhibit graphics with interactive content, including video interviews featuring University of Arizona researchers discussing exoplanets, the search for extraterrestrial life, and the broader implications of discovering intelligent civilizations beyond Earth.

Additional interactive experiences place visitors in the role of scientific researchers. At the Exoplanet Habitability Lab, guests analyze planetary atmospheres using optical filters inspired by techniques employed by astronomers searching for biosignatures. Other exhibits explore the electromagnetic spectrum, radio astronomy, and stellar evolution through engaging touchscreen interfaces that encourage exploration and discovery.

Designed for continuous public use, the Beetronics 32TS7M provides durable construction and reliable touch performance suited for museums, science centers, and other interactive educational environments. Its 32-inch display offers ample space for visitors of all ages to navigate content while keeping information clear and accessible.

"We wanted visitors to feel like active participants in the search for life beyond Earth. The Beetronics touchscreens allowed us to create interactive experiences that are engaging, easy to use, and reliable for everyday operation in a busy science center environment," said Bill Plant, Director of Exhibits at Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium.

Interactive exhibits are expected to operate reliably for years while supporting future updates and exhibit enhancements. Beetronics provides long-term product availability and consistent specifications, helping museums and exhibit designers simplify maintenance planning while ensuring dependable performance over the life of an installation.

By combining interactive exhibit design with reliable touchscreen technology, Flandrau Science Center & Planetarium continues to inspire curiosity and scientific discovery, giving visitors the opportunity to explore some of astronomy's most compelling questions through engaging, hands-on experiences.
