Dog Haus Serves Up Oktoberfestival With the Prost Platter and Stein-Holding Contests

The monthlong celebration brings a German-inspired feast, Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier and weekly competitions to Dog Haus restaurants nationwide

Dog Haus Serves Up Oktoberfestival With the Prost Platter and Stein-Holding ContestsPasadena, CA  (RestaurantNews.com)  Prost, indeed. From now through Oct. 15, Dog Haus is celebrating Oktoberfestival with the Prost Platter, Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier and Stein-Holding Contests at participating Biergarten locations nationwide.

The Prost Platter puts the Das Brat, one of Dog Haus’ signature menu items, front and center of the spread – a premium, all-natural pork bratwurst with caramelized onions, sauerkraut, spicy brown mustard and garlic aioli on grilled King’s Hawaiian rolls. Eight Pretzel Bites round out the feast with cheese sauce plus garlic aioli and brown mustard for dipping.

At locations without beer service, the Prost Platter comes with Das Brat, Pretzel Bites and dipping sauces. At beer-serving restaurants, guests can add a 16-ounce pint of Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier, with an optional upgrade to a 32-ounce stein. Brewed in Munich, the traditional Märzen-style lager features a rich, malty profile with notes of caramel and a crisp finish. Participating Biergarten locations that serve liquor guests can choose a Jägermeister shot instead of the stein upgrade.

“Oktoberfest is a celebration Dog Haus always loves to play up, and this year we wanted to have some fun with it in a way that feels true to us,” said Hagop Giragossian, co-founder of Dog Haus. “Das Brat and Pretzel Bites are two of the staples people already know, so bringing them together with dipping sauces and an Oktoberfest beer makes for a complete experience that feels right at home in the Biergarten. It has the familiar elements of Oktoberfest, but with the personality and culinary approach that make it Dog Haus.”

And because no Oktoberfest gathering is complete without a little competition, participating Dog Haus Biergarten locations will host Stein-Holding Contests every Wednesday and Saturday at 7 p.m. local time throughout the celebration. Participants must be 21 or older, enrolled in Haus Rewards and able to safely lift and hold a full one-liter stein. No alcohol purchase is required to compete.

Each contest winner will receive a $50 Haus Rewards credit, valid through April 15, 2027.

Select restaurants will also host Paulaner activations and feature Oktoberfestival in-store materials, while Dog Haus will spotlight participating locations and local content across its social channels through @doghausdogs.

The Prost Platter format varies by restaurant’s beverage program, with food-only versions available at restaurants without beer and through third-party delivery. Paulaner Oktoberfest Bier, 32-ounce stein upgrades, Jägermeister add-ons and Stein-Holding Contests are available only at applicable participating restaurants. Pricing, beverage availability and contest details vary by location.
